Thanks for the response. I'm not sure where you're seeing this
option - do you mean a CPP group in the project settings somewhere?
Per-file settings? The closest setting I can see is "Scan All Source
Files for Includes", which sounds promising until you read the
description. :)
I'm in Xcode 3.0 in case that makes a difference...

I just realized that the checkbox in VS 2005 just set the /
showincludes flag, which is most likely what you were referring to,
right? I've tried turning on that flag in Xcode but it appears that
it's not supported in gcc. I've been experimenting with static count
variables in headers and such, but so far no luck. If there's no Xcode
solution, I can move this question to a different list though...
