Hi all,
I am new to Xcode, C, and the like. I have read the following:
- Programming in Objective-C
- Learning COCOA
and still cannot grasp some of the concepts. I have tried to make
and compile my own software (even a simple HELLO WORLD one without
success).
Is there anywhere that I can go get a "cheat sheet" on what commands
to use where?
Questions like "how do I compile stuff" are very hard to answer on the
list -- no one knows what's going wrong, how far you're getting, or
what concept you're dealing with. Phrase your question as something
like "Hi, I've read these books, but still failed to compile a
program, here's what I've been doing so far:
1) open Xcode
2) create a new file
3) type in a program
4) not been able to find the build button"
That way people know exactly what problem to address, and how best to
help you.
Hope that helps you at least ask a question people will be able to
help you with.
