Thanks Jerry!
Yes, I gathered it has been deprecated within the Tiger/Xcode 2.x
era. But what I am looking for is its replacement within that same
era. I.e., did IB plugins become a working, documented technology
*prior* to Leopard/Xcode 3?
There are two newish docs, covering Interface Builder and its
plugins, but they are explicitly for IB 3. The link Jerry gave is to
the later. Thus, it doesn't help for IB 2.5.
Thanks,
-Rick

In Xcode, if I try to create a new project, the list of available
templates no longer shows the IBPalette template (for making an
Interface Builder palette bundle).
Anyone know where that went? When did it disappear? Why?
What is the replacement mechanism for making your own palettes for
Interface Builder 2.5? (This area has changed radically for IB 3,
but I can't use it yet).
I thought that this had changed in Xcode 3.0, but maybe it was
2.5. Anyhow, IBPalettes are dead and have been replaced by IB Plug-
Ins.
There is much documentation that still refers to creating such an
Xcode project, yet no mention of a replacement.
Well, yes, I have seen a few things in Xcode documentation have not
been updated for 3.0. I believe the correct answer to this is
"File a bug."
Also, while I'm on a roll, the three /Developer/Examples/
InterfaceBuilder sample code projects that demo palettes do not
build anymore. They all reference the InterfaceBuilder.framework
under the /System/Library tree, but it is no longer there. There
is one in the /Developer tree, but even changing the Xcode project
files to refer to that framework does not allow the build to
complete.

Maybe the same thing is in your Xcode Help, but you know it's
always easier to reference 'em on the ADC website.
