when gdb runs a command line program, where does printf go?

  • Subject: when gdb runs a command line program, where does printf go?

I am working through some example command line 'C' programs, compiling and running under gdb from Xcode 3.0.

I have the gdb Console open, system Console, as well as Terminal. I can see the args passed to the program by 'show args' in gdb console.

Where do printf's from the command line program go? So far I have been unable to find the output.

How do I view output that goes to stdout and stderr?

Thx for any tips,

Ken G. Brown
