Just as a follow-up to my previous message:

I have successfully built a fat binary against the 10.5 SDK that runs just fine on both my MacBook with Leopard and an old iMac G3 with Tiger simply by specifying the below in the build environment.

MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.4

I suspect that it may be one piece of the puzzle that you are missing.


I'm using tools from Xcode 3.0, btw, but I don't think it should matter, unless I missed something in the release notes.
