File a bug report with DTS..

Also tell them they need some kind of secure forum (almost certainly web-based) for discussing NDA things (iPhone, WWDC, etc, etc). Of course, if they had it, I wouldn't know - I'm not NDA on anything really important. But this subject comes up every single year on the student-dev list - you can't discuss things talked about at WWDC because it's NDA and student-dev is a public list.. But there IS NO private list or forum provided by Apple to do so.

And remember, Apple's dev support today is (I think) infinitely better than back in the days of Hypercard and APDA.. I head the documentation for ARTA for the DSP architecture on the AV macs, and actually *programming* the DSP chips was particularly horrid..

When are we going to get DSP back in macs? NeXT boxes had a DSP chip in them, ARTA already "exists" (sort of.. not in OSX/Intel form though) But I'm not sure DSP chips would really be needed, given the speeds and capabilities of multi-core chips today.
