configuring mpif90

Hi,
I need to compile a Fortran 90 program using mpi. Xcode 3 comes with mpif90, but, running it, I have this message

Macintosh:Developer eariel$ mpif90 -v
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately, this installation of Open MPI was not compiled with
Fortran 90 support.  As such, the mpif90 compiler is non-functional.

How can I install gfortran? Is it included in Xcode?
How can I reconfigure OpenMPI? I had expected to find a file named configure, but I could not find it. Maybe I missed to install som part of Xcode.
Thanks,
