Could not find the sub-node whose rename was requested

Xcode (3.1.1) frequently pops up an alert saying

========
11/13/08 12:11:56 PM Xcode[1033] [MT] File: /SourceCache/DevToolsIDE/ DevToolsIDE-1115/pbxinterface/Binder/XCConfigurableDataNode.m
Line: 289
Object: <XCConfigurableDataNode:0x02eca380>
Method: replaceNodeFor:withNodeFor:at:

with "Quit" and "Continue" buttons. Clicking "Continue" seems to let me keep working, and I haven't lost any edits yet, but I'm usually paranoid enough to save my files and quit Xcode whenever this happens.

Anyone know what causes this? Workarounds? Fix coming soon?
