built "ppc7400 i386". (Introducing the old libraries builds for ppc
again instead of ppc7400).
Is there a way to force the linker to create "ppc" architecture?
Why would you want to? PPC7400 means G4 - do you *really* care about
G3 support in this day and age?

If you support Tiger, then you have little choice, unless you don't
care about your users complaining that the app crashes on launch.
