I'm attempting to use the Mini Debugger under Xcode 3.1 and 10.5.5 for a Carbon app.

When I hit a breakpoint, the Mini Debugger window opens up into the "engaged" state, as described at:

http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/XcodeDebugging/200-Debugging_in_the_Mini_Debugger/chapter_5_section_1.html#/ /apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40007057-CH5-SW3

except that I don't have a "Debugger Strip" in my Mini Debugger window. The Debugger Strip holds the "continue/step/step into/step out of" buttons. That entire strip is simply missing from my Mini Debugger window (which makes it useless).

The Debugger Strip is described at:

http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/XcodeDebugging/100-Debugging_in_the_Text_Editor/chapter_4_section_2.html#/ /apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40007057-CH4-SW26

My Mini Debugger window looks just like that illustration, if you omitted the Debugger Strip.

Is there a way to toggle the Debugger Strip on and off?

With the In-Editor Debugging Controls checkbox in the Debugger preferences
