Correct. Nevertheless, many thanks! I've had the same problem, but didn't know
that it was GCC 4.2 causing it. Where did you find this information?
I think it was from others on this list, actually...
Xcode 3.1 release notes:
New gcc-4.2 and llvm-gcc-4.2 Compilers [...] Note that neither gcc-4.2 nor llvm-gcc-4.2 will compile code against the 10.4u or earlier SDK, or deploy for Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier.
