Title: PackageMaker 3.0.2 and scripts
Hi Everyone,
I have a hopefully easy question! With Packagemaker when you want to add a script how do you do so in the new version?
Here is what I am doing:
On the desktop I make a folder called Package. Under that I setup a dummy file system directory like System, Library, etc folders and lets say I was making a package to push out a pref I would make the folder for /Library and /Library/Preferences/ and then put the pref I want under that Preferences folder.
Then I just drag that folder over into PackageMaker and create the package and that’s it. I have been using this method for years but with this new version I’m lost on the scripts area. Before I used to put a folder called Install_resources at the root level with the Package folder and drop a script in there. If I do that with this new Packagemaker it leaves the Install_resources folder on the root of the drive on the client computer where the package was installed. How do I get rid of that folder or set a script to run properly with this new PackageMaker?
I read through the manual for Package Maker and it wasn’t any help. Hopefully I was clear enough and someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Dan
