I tried quitting Xcode on the destination machine and copying my
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Xcode.plist file to the second Mac.
Then I
restarted Xcode on that Mac. Result: it seems to disregard my font/
color
settings, substituting instead the default settings. The timestamp
on the
file clearly shows that the file from the other system was brought
over.
Is there anything I'm missing about prefs in 3.0 and 3.1? The
documentation
didn't seem to say anything about where prefs files are stored so
maybe the
info in question is stored somewhere else?
I resisted upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1 on the old system, afraid
(based on the
above) that 3.1 wouldn't read the 3.0 prefs and then I'd completely
use my
carefully chosen color settings. I'd rather copy them by hand than
have to
recreate them from scratch. I had a lot of trouble setting the
colors also
since it seemed in 3.0 it was a chancey thing whether a change made
in the
color picker could be made to be saved in the working preferences.
Half the
time or more, the mods I made to the color were lost, so it took me
a good 2
hours to set my colors.
Thanks in advance for any help.
