Yeah, not surprising. I imagine it would only be useful for things like
submitting projects for bug reports. All paths would be followed and sources
and frameworks copied for a standalone, static build snapshot. But that
could get out of hand for larger projects.

Not that I know of.

You could file a bug for such a feature, but it strikes me as a highly-
specific feature with lots of potential edge cases (what if it affects
header search paths? what about files generated in a specific
directory?), and so the Xcode team would be unlikely to make it a high
priority.
