iPhone's own certificate

Hi,

Does anybody know if iPhone has an Apple-issued certificate? If yes, is there an API to get a hold of it? My case is simple. My app needs to talk to a server and I hope I can use iPhone's own certificate to authenticate the device to the server (since I've found Apple publishes its Root Certificate).
