Xcode fails to remember recently opened files/projects

Hi folks.

I recently installed a newer version of Xcode, and I find that it no longer remembers recently opened files or projects. Selecting "File- >Recent Files" or "File->Recent Projects" reveals only "Clear Menu", despite the fact that many files/projects have been opened.

My thinking is that there is probably a preference file that needs to be popped, and I was wondering if any of you knew which one that might be.
