Thanks -- the old font was also size 10, where the new one is 11. You wouldn't think that would make much difference, but on my system at least it means the change from fuzzy fonts to non-fuzzy fonts. It's a huge difference. I might give the new settings a try, since that is obviously what they are recommending, but today for me the fuzzy-style is harder on the eyes.
From the Xcode 3.2 Release Notes: Xcode’s default font for text editing, debug logs, and build transcripts is now Menlo-11. If you have set a custom font, this will not affect you; you can also use Fonts & Colors preferences to use Monaco-10 or any other font of your choice.
I recommend reading through them thoroughly (Xcode > Help > Xcode Release Notes), it will save you a lot of time in discovering the changes in the product.
Menlo-11 is antialiased by default to get with the modern preference for smoothed programming fonts that are the default in other editors and programming environments; your personal preference may be for bitmap programming fonts, in which case you can manually set Monaco.
Xcode > Preferences > Fonts and Colors, select all items and double-click to change all fonts at once.
