I'm not seeing anything in Software Update, and my Xcode is 3.2. I figure I'll run uninstall-devtools, reinstall iphone_sdk_3.0__snow_leopard__final.dmg, and try again to see what happens.
Actually... I *did* start uninstall-devtools and the moment it started running it occurred to me I might be able to send you some info that would help diagnose the problem, so I Control-C'ed out of it while it was still spewing "Analyzing package" messages. Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to try.
