In regards to my previous post about downgrading XCode, it didn't work. Installing earlier versions of XCode is possible (as per other folks' posts on modifying the installer's minimum OS requirement), and works for non-distributed builds, but distribution doesn't work. I assume the distcc package would need to be downgraded through some other means, I didn't research this. Downgrading the OS (and using VmWare Fusion in the cases where we can't downgrade the host OS) is the course we took.
