That seems to be the case. This saddens me, as I do most of my programming in emacs, and no one else in my office uses XCode (or a Mac for that matter).

David,

The XCode project is not under version control. However, the files/directories I added to the project (via 'add existing files') are under version control and are in a checked out working directory.

I did go into the the roots and SCM configuration window and set the checked out working directory as being a root with the correct repository in the drop down list. I have the main project directory (first line in that window) still set to 'none' since it is not under version control. I even tried removing it and just having the working directory in that list. Neither way seems to work. Refer to Rob's answer. That seems to be closest to the truth and what I'm experiencing.

I appreciate both of your replies, and any future ones as well.
