Active architecture not present in the executable

  • Subject: Active architecture not present in the executable

I use a Leopard iMac for development.  Now I am also setting up a Snow Leopard Mac Mini to work on the same project.  When I try to launch my custom executable from Xcode on my Mac Mini, I get an error: "The active architecture i386 is not present in the executable 'Executable' which contains x86_64.  I open the Xcode dropdown, but i386 is the only architecture choice.  My custom executable is built using make on the command line, and apparently I have gotten a different architecture than what Xcode will let me launch?  I have Xcode 3.2.1 on the Mac Mini, which I've also run the software update on.   I installed Xcode from the disk that came with the Mac Mini.

Advice much appreciated, thank you.
