huge .strings files
huge .strings files

Something else I've been wondering about, but haven't had time to test
yet...but, thought someone here would just know the answer.
Is there any special under-the-hood handling of .strings files to make
extracting a string from them efficient at runtime?
I can imagine that storing just a few hundred strings in a .strings
file would allow for efficient access at runtime.
I haven't tried storing more then just a handful of strings in
a .strings file yet, but may have a need soon to store tens of
thousands of strings in one and am wondering what performance issues I
might run into and whether it is a better idea to split them into many
(, many, many) files.
Thanks.
