Suddenly lost connection to images

Dear All

Something really odd has happened. With some images in my project I have lost the connection. If I select an image in question and ask for it to be shown in Finder the image will appear in the Finder as expected, but when it is selected it does not draw the image in the ID. Also in the project builder in the media browser, these images are replaced with a question mark showing the link is broken. This was fine until a few hours ago, and oddly only some of the images are behaving in this way.

Could someone help.
