I'm stupid. I _can_ test ppc settings (next time I'll read the Xcode -
manual)...
ppc64 doesn't work
ppc works fine (step into)
Nevertheless I have no idea why....

Yes, the configuration is set to "Debug", generate debug symbols is
checked, lazy symbol loading is off. Debugging works fine, except
that "step into" steps over method invocations.
As I mentioned previously, I tried adding a new Cocoa Application
target in my project and it still didn't work. But if I remove all
my source files except my main.cpp file (which includes a small
dummy class that I try calling first thing in main() ) it works!
Then, without changing any settings, I re-add all the other source
files and "step into" stops working!
