Uninstalling everything seems to be the next step.

Be aware that DEVELOPER_SDK_DIR is set relative to the version of Xcode that's running. If you have two Developer folders, each copy of Xcode will have different values for DEVELOPER_SDK_DIR in its build settings and shell scripts, pointing to the subdirectory appropriate for that copy. That's the point.
