When starting a new thread, send a new email to the list, don't just reply to another thread. Replying to another thread confuses mail clients that support threading (like Apple's Mail).

You replied to Jonathan Mitchell's penultimate post on the "Static library confusion" thread so Mail associates the two threads (and doesn't offer a way to disassociate them).
