Thanks for the comment. It's most effective with this sort of
feedback if you file a bug (https://bugreport.apple.com/). Including
traces/samples in the bug makes a huge difference in our ability to
determine what's going on.

Dear Gentlemen
I use XCode document viewer quite a lot to browse documents and
search API and stuff. Unfortunately in XCode 3.x it is very slow
when scrolling the document or results list view. The problem is
simple just open any doc set, try to scroll the result set, note bad
responsiveness, then open any big document and try heavy scrolling
it with mouse scroll button - look at CPU usage at this time - here
it almost peaks (iMac7,1). Now for tricky part - if you move away
from the document viewer window and then move overlapping window in
such a way that you see document viewer and use mouse scroll it
works excellent. Also some times it works good as well right from
the start but nevertheless the scrolling in most of the cases is
very jittery.
Anyone experiencing the same? It troubles me that scrolling is bad
not only in document viewer part but in list view as well. All other
apps work fine.
I've never used Instruments before (mostly 10.4 coding still) and it
was my first try - pretty neat stuff! However I am not still very
good at interpreting stuff - looks like - garbage collection is to
blame??
I am posting a trace on site http://www.elverils.com/Trace.tar.bz2 -
can you please share your thoughts on this.
Thanks in advance!
