Hello,

This is something which worries me just a bit, but anyway it is confusing:

I downloaded and installed the new iPhone SKD version 2.1.1 and as an effect in Xcode, a new root item in the DocSet pane under the "DOC SETS" container has been added automatically.

The new item has a button beneath it, labeled "Subscribe". When I click it, I get the error message:
"Failed to subscribe to documentation feed at http://developer.apple.com/rss/com.apple.adc.documentation.AppleiPhone2_2.1.atom ."

I tried the address in a browser, and asserted that the feed actually does not exist (yet). It seems somewhat reasonable that a new update of a SDK does not immediately require a further update. However, subscribing for updates should work.

Can somebody shed some light on this, please?

I have the same problem plus a related one going back several weeks. The Documentation panel says that updates are available for things I have already subscribed to -- "Core Library", "Developer Tools Library" and "iPhone OS Library". But when I try to download them I get an alert that says, "Failed to download documentation package for Core Library. Access denied for download. Check that your account name and password (possibly stored in your keychain) are correct and still valid for the server."

I have not changed my password, and I don't even know how to do that. "possibly" is no help at all. I sent a message to Apple's developer group and got an automated reply but no advice yet.

David
