Oh I think I see now thanks. I think if I had stepped back for a second I would have realized that.  So do be clear the concern is having a the chunk of memory that is holding the string being written too and overflowing?

The potential problem pointed out has nothing at all to do with writing to
the file. It's got to do with writing into the string buffer that holds the
name of the file.
