We have multiple projects that need to build project B, and each one has a different set of configurations, so there's never a one-to-one match between project A and project B.

That's a shame, and somewhat easy to fix, as you can easily rename configurations in Project > Edit Project Info > Configurations. Probably just easier to do this once and get everything in line than to hassle with maintaining scripts that build each other all the time.


How do you specify what the default configuration is? I see a popup menu labelled "Command-line builds use:". Is that the same thing as default configuration?

That is exactly what the "Command-line builds use:" setting controls: the default configuration if no configuration is specified.
