Hi everyone,

I am new to the Mac Platform. I can use SSH to connect my Mac OS 10.5.7. After enabling SSH forwarding, I can start X applications without any problem. However, when I try to start the Xcode development environment in command line, it failed with this error:

_RegisterApplication(), FAILED TO establish the default connection to the WindowServer, _CGSDefaultConnection() is NULL.

Does anyone know why? Is it possible to run Xcode remotely via X11 from another machine? Thanks for any input.

Mac applications do not use X11 to manage/display their windows, including Xcode. X11 is used only for ports of other unix's applications.
