Hi Eric,
as far as I can tell, iTunes cannot notify any other apps through ScriptingBridge. The generated iTunes.h file does not contain any references to any callbacks that you can use. There may be other ways to do that e.g. notifications and NSDistributedNotificationCenter but I'm not sure whether you can listen to notifications posted by iTunes.

Hi
I'm fairly new to Xcode and ObjC, would appreciate some help / pointers in the right direction.
I've written a small app which uses the Cocoa scripting bridge to query iTunes for its current playlist, and presents the entries in a NSTableVIew, letting me play individual tracks from the list when I double click on an entry. So far so good.
If I stop or change the track through this scripting bridge, I will obviously know when a change has occurred. However, how do I know if the track or playlist is changed via iTunes directly? I don't wish to poll iTunes to keep track of its state, if I can possibly avoid it. Is there a way I can be notified of a change in iTunes state?
Cheers for any help,
Eric
