Stupid #pragma mark directive

Exactly what good does the "#pragma mark" directive do? Sure, the text you put afterwards, shows up in the pulldown just under the horizontal divider, but the code (methods) that follow that "mark" don't show up after the text in the pulldown! Not at all like the "#Region" directive in VB.Net! Is there a "#pragma end mark" or something similar?
