xcspec for custom GCC version

  • Subject: xcspec for custom GCC version

I have a custom xcplugin that specifies a gcc binary with an xcspec. I am unable to figure out how to have this version show up in the Build Settings of the project. Only the standard gcc versions are displayed for the "C/C++ Compiler Version". If I try using "Other" from the popup and manually enter the GCC version I get the following in the console log:
"3/15/09 2:37:44 PM Xcode[13300] LSOpenFromURLSpec() returned -43 for application (null) path /Users/jake/test8/Invalid value '4.3.2' for GCC_VERSION."

I can work-around this by creating a new rule for processing C files for the Target where it does show up in the popup there. It would be nice however if I can get it to show up in the built settings compiler popup.

Thanks
