Can't build Release for x86_64

  • Subject: Can't build Release for x86_64

I'm running XCode 3.0 on a Mac Pro Xeon.

To make a 64 bit build, I set the "Architectures" string to "i386 x86_64", then I chose x86_64 from the Project -> Set Active Configuration menu, and it built and ran as 64 bit fine (for Debug).

When I do exactly the same thing for Release, the only options I get in Set Active Configuration are always ppc and i386, no matter what the "Architectures" string is set to, and even when I remove ppc from "Valid Architectures".

Am I missing something about how this is supposed to work?

-Brian
