xCode ... xcode
It is spelled Xcode.
Which system do you think is the best to use with xCode (sic!) for
VCS small projects?
Only you can answer that question. git, subversion, mercurial et.al.
all have their pros and cons, and it is beyond the scope of this list
to discuss them
As to Xcode, all files generated by the IDE (such as project files)
will work beautifully with VCS systems.
Xcode has gui support for subversion, perforce and cvs. If you fell
you absolutely must have GUI support in Xcode, then you are stuck with
this. For anything else, you will have to use a third party tool, or
the command line.
Personally, I would not make my decision depend on the GUI support in
Xcode. It is nice, but merely a convenience. Choose the VCS that best
fits your requirements.
We use subversion, git and -- for some ancient projects -- even still
cvs with Xcode.

Greetings to the list,
I'm starting a small project with a friend and we would like to
share the code. I have a dreamhost server and I'd like to setup an
VCS (version control system).
Our production env is xCode + TextMate. Now TextMate supports both
git and mercurial via plugins. The git plugin is made by Odgaar
himself. While xcode supports SVN (and probably cvs) it does not
seem to have support for git & mercurial.
Which system do you think is the best to use with xCode for VCS
small projects?
best regards
