Lately, in my iPhone App project, the Localizable.strings file in the
built App's English.lproj folder has a 3- or 4-digit number appended
to its name, like "Localizable.strings.819". This prevents the data
from being found at runtime. Each build appends a different number. I
can't figure out what is causing this or how to correct it.
There are many similar App Targets in this project. Other Targets
exhibit the same issue. Different build Configurations don't change
it. But another developer with the same project (via Subversion)
builds correctly and gets proper Localizable.strings file naming.
When I first started using Localizable.strings it built fine, but this
hasn't been true for a few weeks. Building sample app UICatalog does
not exhibit this problem.
The file is included in the target's Copy Bundle Resources Build
Phase. Here's the Build output for this file when the number was
appended:
