Java Debugger in XCode 3.1.2 hangs when inspecting variables

  • Subject: Java Debugger in XCode 3.1.2 hangs when inspecting variables

Searching archives and Googling has not revealed anything about this problem. Using XCode 3.1.2 on a Java 1.5 project, the Java debugger will stop on breakpoints correctly, but when I attempt to use the tree view expansion controls in the Variables pane, the debugger hangs and I have to force quit my application. Step in/out/over and all the other controls work correctly until I try to expand something, like "this". I was not encountering this problem until upgrading to XCode 3.1 (from version 2-something). Any advice?

Thanks,
Brad Werth
