Hi all,
I have struggled with this for a few days now, so time to ask...and be humbled? :-)

Following along with this tutorial, about pasteboards.

file:///Developer/Documentation/DocSets/com.apple.adc.documentation.AppleSnowLeopard.CoreReference.docset/Contents/Resources/Documents/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/PasteboardGuide106/Articles/pbGettingStarted.html

The user interface has a custom toolbar, ( scroll down to the label "Configure the user interface"...and it is a few lines below this) to which has been added 2 toolbar items, labeled "copy" and "paste". After placing a toolbar on the document window, and then using the customizable drop sheet (double click the toolbar) as directed, I have reached a dead end. Try as I might, I cannot find the correct library object to show a "copy" and "paste" label.
Have used the "image toolbar item" and set the "Pal. labe" to "copy" or "paste" but when I complete the installation and click "done" there is no visible label. ( it is still there, as a quick look at the drop sheet will verify). If I run the app, still no label.
Your input will be appreciated.

"Pal. Label" is the label that is shown in the toolbar customization palette. You should also set "Label" to the same text, since that's what is shown in the actual toolbar.

Did you *also* add the items to the default toolbar once you added the items to the palette (the drop down)? Do your copy and paste items show if you bring up the customization palette when you run the app (select the View->Customize Toolbar... menu)?

I think you've either not set the other set of labels, or have only added the items to the palette and not actually added them to the toolbar.
