installation failed for Xcode 3.2--10.4SDK

  • Subject: installation failed for Xcode 3.2--10.4SDK

I have a mac mini (original OS was Leopard) that I partitioned, and have Snow Leopard (10.6.1) on one of them. On this I had installed Xcode 3.2, with
only 10.6 and 10.5 sdk support. This works fine.

When I re-run the Xcode package installer to include the 10.4 SDK, that item shows a size of zero and the resulting installation fails, with an error about not being able to find installation resources. ???

I tried downloading the Xcode 3.2.1 installer and get the same result.
