that's problem is quite serious
is there some workaround?

I haven't tried these in a while, so I don't know if these still work or not.

(1) Set the compiler to GCC 4.0

or

(2) Set the Base SDK: Mac OS X 10.5 (as long as you don't need 10.6 specific stuff)
