I just edited one of my Mac application's .nib files, and I now have two ! and one ? files (in addition to the expected M) according to SCM Info. (I'm using Subversion.)

And XCode gives me no way to discard changes.

I tried manually reverting, then setting Document Info to Interface Builder 3.0, but the same thing happens.

I guess this is the first time I've edited a .nib (as opposed to a .xib) under Snow Leopard.

It's just a guess really, since we've been using xibs for ages now, but have the nib files been flattened? They used to be a folder, but if they've changed to just a single file then you might get this kind of behaviour from Subversion I think.

Kind regards,

Alastair.
