Can you post, *to the list*, a zipped project folder that
demonstrates this (or a URL to download one from)? I do this kind
of thing all the time and haven't seen this problem.
Also, what version of Xcode?

This happens at XCode 3.1.3 (at Leopard) and at XCode 3.2 (at Snow
Leopard)
FWIW, I just tried to reproduce this problem using Xcode 3.1.3 on
Leopard and I [correctly] got a compiler error complaining about
undefined member functions.
Did you use Xcode's built-in editor to edit the 1.h and 1.cpp files or
did you use some external editor?
When you added those files to Xcode, did you create them from within
Xcode, or did you create them in an external editor and add the
existing files?
