Hi Steve,

these days.) And what's a search bubble?
I hadn't noticed this in 3.2 (only migrated 2 days ago) but it was
pretty obvious what the "magnifying-glass pulldown" refers to from
looking at the new find UI for a couple of seconds.
Search fields include a magnifying glass icon by default, and can
optionally contain a pulldown menu (and yes, it does pull _down_). I
don't know why they call it a "search bubble" ("search field" would
suffice) but assume they're just referring to the pulldown menu in the
search field which contains the options I assume you're looking for
(string vs. regex matching, match/ignore case etc.)

Where did the single file Find options go? They used to be nicely

search bubble." Bwah? What's a magnifying-glass pulldown? (And did

I don't suppose there's a hidden pref that lets me get the old Find
window back? I miss it. The find banner didn't help anything, but made
it more difficult to figure out and use, and it steals focus from the
text editor, which always isn't obvious unless you look up there. I
don't know why Apple replaced a perfectly good and useful feature with
something completely non-standard and weird. Having find banners
showing in all my windows wastes as much space as having a menubar at
the top of every window. Yuck. El grosso. Give me a Find window
please. Plus, you have to take an extra step to get the Replace field
if you didn't already figure that out and change your key bindings.
