Gotcha. Is there a way in Xcode to make this the default for all C++
projects I create in the future?
(Sorry, I'm new to Xcode.)

I have 10.6 (3.2 Xcode) installed. 64-bit, Xcode IDE: 1610.0,
Xcode Core: 1608.0, ToolSupport: 1591.0
When I insert a numeric value into an ostringstream, the resultant
string is incorrect.
When I drop out to the terminal and compile the application, the
output is correct.
When I move the compiler version back from 4.2 to 4.0 within xcode,
the output is correct.
When I change the project to release with gcc 4.2, the output is
correct.
So, 4.2 debug within Xcode has a problem. As it turns out, debug
mode is my favorite!
Is there a fix available?

Wherever you find GLIBCXX_DEBUG=1 or GLIBCXX_DEBUG_PEDANTIC=1,
delete them.
