When I insert a numeric value into an ostringstream, the resultant
string is incorrect.
When I drop out to the terminal and compile the application, the
output is correct.
When I move the compiler version back from 4.2 to 4.0 within xcode,
the output is correct.
When I change the project to release with gcc 4.2, the output is
correct.
So, 4.2 debug within Xcode has a problem. As it turns out, debug
mode is my favorite!
Is there a fix available?

Wherever you find GLIBCXX_DEBUG=1 or GLIBCXX_DEBUG_PEDANTIC=1,
delete them.

I've got a similar issue with a C++ command line project. When I use
the the vector class in Debug mode, it crashes, but works fine in
release mode. When I search for GLIBCXX, nothing shows up (even with
Configuration: All Configurations and Show: All Settings). However,
grep finds it in the project.pbxproj file.
grep GLIBCXX *
project.pbxproj: "_GLIBCXX_DEBUG=1",
project.pbxproj: "_GLIBCXX_DEBUG_PEDANTIC=1",
Why isn't the search finding them? I tried creating a brand new C++
command line project and the search for GLIBCXX fails there too.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave
