Thanks. That doesn't seem to be in the release notes accessible from Xcode's Help menu. Is there a preference setting I can change so I don't have to hold shift or option, or should I file an enhancement?

If you look in the View menu, there are separate commands for Next/ Previous File. You can use the key bindings editor in the prefs to assign keystrokes to those, overriding the default Cmd-Opt-arrows if you want.

The new mode is kind of a mixed blessing. I've long wanted the ability to jump back after using a shortcut like Cmd-double-click to jump to another location; but having it remember every single change in cursor position becomes very annoying and usually gets in my way. I'd much rather have it only remember movement made through shortcuts.
