Finder still does it the right way. File name searching should not behave differently in different part of the same OS, especially when both products (Finder, Xcode) are from the same vendor, one that normally insists on perfection of the user experience. I don't see how anyone would expect the new behavior. You get different results for the same search. That's not correct, and is a hinderance to efficiency.
