Xcode 3.1.3 is not officially qualified for development on Snow Leopard. There are known crashing bugs in specific areas (such as Data Modeling) that are not addressed. Some people may have satisfactory experiences using 3.1.3 on Snow Leopard but it is not a supported configuration.

I don't suppose this situation has changed at all with Xcode 3.1.4?
