Inerface builder hangs

Hi,

I double click on a .xib file and it brings up Interface Builder. If I try and scroll down the Library window to insert a button, the program just hangs and I have to force quit it. Does anyone know how I can fix this, because really want to make some stuff for the iPhone and this problem has been bothering me for ages and I can't fix it.
